Wheel building on Chinese Carbon Rims

Hello here’s one of my latest projects: at a client’s request, I completely rebuild a pair of wheels purchased from China. The original hubs were ultra-light, and the lacing quality was poor, resulting in a loose spoke after just 150 km! In the end, I kept only the 50mm carbon rims and used hubs known for their durability and quality, DT Swiss 350, with high-end Aerolite flat spokes from the same brand and brass nipples for long-lasting performance. The 24-cross, 2-cross lacing pattern is a classic for road builds.

Here’s the result: 1430 g on the scale for the pair of wheels. Plus, they look great in their all black-and-white finish!
